Commercial roof alterations & retrofits
Commercial roofs evolve. New equipment, new tenants, new codes, we adapt your roof to all of it, cutting in cleanly, flashing it right, and submitting the work so your existing manufacturer warranty stays 100% active.
Code upgrades and warranty preservation
Insulation & drainage
Energy code
Whenever a roof is opened, code requires updated R-values. We add thick polyisocyanurate layers and design custom tapered "cricket" systems that direct water straight to drains, eliminating standing water.
Coverage preserved
Warranty
Cutting blindly into a roof can void your warranty. We verify the provider first, use exact manufacturer-certified details and materials, and submit for re-inspection so coverage stays 100% active.
One roof coordinator
Coordination
We manage timelines with third-party HVAC techs, electricians and GCs, once equipment is set or a pipe is run, our crew is right behind them to dry it in and seal it before the weather shifts.
Two structural openings, zero downtime, warranty intact

BeforeAfterA tenant needed major internal exhaust-hood upgrades, cutting two 4×4-foot openings through a structurally sound EPDM deck. We built and welded heavy steel support curbs, reinforced the surrounding framing and flashed the new penetrations seamlessly.

Common questions
We are adding rooftop equipment. Do we need a roofer involved?
Yes. Every new curb, penetration or support is a new hole in a working roof, and the detailing around it is what keeps water out. New rooftop equipment is one of the most common sources of new leaks.
Will cutting into the roof void our warranty?
It can, which is why the work should be carried out to the manufacturer's specification by a contractor able to detail it correctly. Tell us the existing system and warranty and we will work within it.
Can you coordinate with our HVAC and electrical contractors?
Yes. We sequence roof work with the other trades so penetrations are made and detailed properly rather than opened and left, and so the roof is closed up the same day wherever possible.
Should the roof be inspected after the work?
Always. The new detailing is the youngest and least proven part of the roof, so it is the first place to check — ideally with a moisture scan that confirms nothing has got in around it.
